Praise for the Author: The author is not just one person I am assuming, since it is a band. The author(s) has presumably been through heartbreak, which I think most people in this class can on some level relate too. All heartbreaks are generally the same, you get crushed by someone you 'love'. So I think whatever they're singing about is vaild enough for me.

Paraphrase of Saying: Love comes and goes, for an unknown amount of time. But don't dwell on the sorrow, you must move on with you're life. Don't worry about whatever may be happening, don't care, just live free and don't have a straight plan of action. Without reason or warning we'll fall in love again, and possibly fall out of love again, but regardless, just sing and take it as it is, day by day.

Causes or Reasons for Saying: If we are always dwelling on our brokenhearts, we'll get nowhere. We must care, but only for what matters, ourselves. Care for ourselves and just live freely until by chance without warning you might fall in love again.

A Contrast: Sometimes living free without a real plan of action can be scary or lonely, but it is the unknown, so be prepared for anything.

A Comparison: Being care free and just living can help your life in so many ways that are unknown to us now. Being free is quite self-explanitory. You can do whatever you want and whenever you want.

An Example: Personally, I've been living through this song. Just living freely and having fun without a care. Of course, there are obvious cares, like school. But school is only worth caring about if it is fun for you. Just like life. Life is worth caring about if you make it that way.

Testimony/Epilogue: The song and lyrics seem to be helpful and can be applied to anyone. Anyone can live this way, and many probably are without realizing it or putting a title on it.

Rhetorical Activities pg. 64 # 4

I've wrote many papers and short essays on how even though we are in the 21st Century women and men are still not equal. Our country used to be male dominated, and I thought that being in the 21st Century we would've gotten away from that, but we haven't. Laws were passed that states that men and women are 'equal' decades ago, but in all honesty, I still think the United States is a male dominated society. The misconception that women shouldn't work and should only be able to stay at home and watch the children has stuck around for way too long. Women are strong and independent and should have a right to do what they want to do without being viewed negatively or without being held down. Regardless, women are slowly moving up in the world; slowly but surely. Off the top of my head I can think of 3 women who've climbed the prodominately male industrial ladder: Hilary Clinton (politics), Sarah Palin (politics), and Oprah (television). These 3 women are idols for young women/girls. Idols that show that if you work hard enough and long enough you can achieve anything you want to. Women need to start demanding more equality in this society of supposedly 'freedom', we deserve it.

Hey everyone!!

My name is Sammie. I'm a pretty relax and chill person. I am an RA and I love it! Best decision of my college career. My second best decision was joining the sorority Alpha Sigma Alpha. I love being in ASA and I love all of my sisters! I am a Business and English major. I'm in this class because I love Donna and I love English and WOW! I was able to take a class I love with an awesome prof. I don't really know what I want to do with my life; I just know I like English and Business. I like leadership positions so that's why I've decided on Business Mgmt because I think I'd be really strong in that field.

I love music. Music kind of rules my life and my heart. My favorite genre is Rock n' Roll/Alternative. But I listen to everything. One simple song or beat can brighten up my day so quickly. I also love movies, all kinds of movies: Disney, comdey, romance, action, Sci-Fi. No horror films for me though lol. I really love to travel. This last summer I went to London, Paris, and Rome. I wish to visit many more countries. I also love reading and animals. I love a lot of things honestly. Lol.

I love life and I'm pretty enthusiastic and excited all the time. I am generally really loud, and I'm kinda spazzy.
